March 2008 In Review
This marks the fifth month since the birth of Broke Grad Student, and I’m glad to announce that the numbers are still on the rise. I’d like to thank my readers and fellow bloggers for the support. For those of you who are visiting for the first time, be sure to check out the most popular posts from the past month:
- Browse the 115th edition of the Festival of Frugality hosted right here at Broke Grad Student.
- Discover why debt is 90% mental.
- Find out why you should never pay for something you can get for free.
Payback Fund: $2907.58
This fund continues to steadily grow each month, which is awesome. The most satisfying part is watching my loan balance go down, because every little chunk I knock out feels like weight off of my shoulders.
2,606 Unique Visitors
March was a great month for Broke Grad Student. I had over 800 more unique visitors compared to the previous month. I’m excited as this number continues to grow, and I hope to continue this growth in the following months.
92 Subscribers
Only 8 more subscribers to reach the century mark! Although I still can’t believe that this many people actually want to read what I write, I’m glad to know that it’s not just my mom and dad reading the blog.

Congrats on your payback so far and your blog growth. I’ve been running my blog about as long as yours, and my grow has been slow but pretty steadily increasing.
Gosh, I wish I knew how it felt to see your loan balance go down! This summer I’m going to have to find financing for my sophomore year (gag!).
Best of luck to your continued success!
